Summary:

This workshop was created around the idea of preparing students for entering the professional working world upon completion of their education. The workshop will consist of a presentation on how to write a resume and cover letter. There will also be a presentation on how Facebook and LinkedIn can be useful in the search for employment, how to use the platforms and some do’s and don’ts. There will be a professional photographer taking head shots for each student that attends; these photos are very useful when looking for employment as they are great to put into portfolios or an online profile such as LinkedIn. The students that are attending will also participate in a hands-on workshop where they will create or edit their resume and cover letter with the knowledge they have gained. They will have the opportunity to get professionals to look over their resume and cover letter and provide feedback.
