Enactus-Laurentian in Moosonee
Congratulations to the team of 4 students who went to Moosonee last week. They each had specific goals and they all accomplished what they set out to do.
Caitling Fournier and Natalie Schryer did a financial education program to a total of 17 grade 12 students at Northern Lights High School in Moosonee. The workshop consisted on identifying the costs to attend college or university and the various ways to save money for post-secondary education.
Jeffrey DeCourcey and Jean-Noël Desmarais trained 2 women of the Arts and Culture Club of Moose Cree First Nation on the use of an iPad (donated by Enactus-Laurentian) to sell their arts and crafts on eBay. Seven hours after the 2nd training session, the indigenous women had already posted one item for sale!
Koudos to the team and Enactus-Laurentian for improving the livelihood and empowering women of our Northern Ontario communities.
