Peru Delegation completes Building Environmental Strategies Workshop
Peruvian Delegates have completed the Building Environmental Strategies Workshop
The delegation of Peruvian government officials, mining company executives and university researchers have completed the Building Environmental Strategies workshop. Throughout the week, there have been presentations from faculty, researchers, government, industry and community members that have had a role in the successful Regreening Project of the Sudbury region. We are confident that the knowledge the delegates have gained will leave them feeling inspired and prepared to replicate the Sudbury Regreening Project in their respective regions of Peru. We are excited to continue growing all of the relationships that have been established over the course of this week.
Thank you to all of the faculty, researchers, government, industry and community members that contributed and participated during the workshop. Thank you to CEMI (Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation) for helping to organize and facilitate the workshop. This would not have been possible without all of their valuable expertise.
The Goodman School of Mines would like to thank The Core Foundation for their partnership to help organize the Building Environmental Strategies workshop. Their guidance was exceptionally valuable throughout this entire process and we look forward to continuing and growing this strong relationship.
