South African Delegation visits Laurentian University and Sudbury
South Africa’s Mandela Mining Precinct visits Canada’s Mining University
The Goodman School of Mines welcomes a delegation of mining professionals from South Africa’s Mandela Mining Precinct. Laurentian University is one of the stops for the group as they tour the Sudbury region and get to see first-hand why mining is in our DNA!
The delegation had the opportunity to chat with some of the departments that contribute to the teaching of the entire mining life cycle at Laurentian University and they also got to tour our campus! On their tour, they visited the CROSH Workplace Simulator & Mobile Lab, Perdue Central Analytical Facility, Indigenous Sharing and Learning Centre and got to learn about Sudbury’s award-winning Environmental Remediation Story!
Thank you to the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation for including Laurentian University and allowing us to showcase why Laurentian is Canada’s Mining University!
