Course Description:
Procept’s courses have been preparing candidates for the PMP exam longer than any other provider in Canada. In fact, Procept taught the first professional PMP Exam Prep course in Canada and is PMI’s first Registered Education Provider in Canada. This intensive course is approved by the Project Management Institute for preparing candidates for the PMP exam.
This course is an intense review of exam material to help prepare people to write the exam; it is not intended to teach people basic project management concepts. Prior project management training and experience is highly recommended to maximize candidates’ chances to pass the exam.
The PM knowledge areas are presented in modules. At the beginning of each module, there is a practice pre-test before delivery of the module’s learning components, include realistic, challenging, multiple-choice questions to test knowledge of the module topic and to simulate the types of questions on the PMP exam. During the review of the practice questions, the instructor explains how to arrive at the correct answer. The course provides many exam tips, test-taking techniques and study tips, but there are no gimmicks because there is no magic formula for passing the PMP exam: it requires appropriate professional PM experience, an intense preparation course, and commitment to prepare appropriately for the exam.

By completing the Laurentian University Project Management Certificate you will have acquired enough PDU’s (Professional Development Units) to write your PMP Exam with the Project Management Institute and acquire your PMP accreditation. Through the program, companies may receive non-repayable funding from the government to purchase third-party business training programs, including training for in-demand skillsets. Training is expected to improve the employability and value employees can provide; including new hires in these training sessions can also maximize your funding potential.
COJG funding can reduce the cost of training employees by up to 50-83%. This can cover up to $10,000 to $15,000 in training costs per trainee.

Canada Tax Credit
What is the Canada Training Credit?
The budget proposes a new refundable tax credit called the Canada training credit available for eligible tuition and other fees paid for courses taken in 2020 and subsequent taxation years. The credit will be the lesser of the individual’s Canada training credit limit for the taxation year, and half of the eligible tuition and fees paid to an eligible educational institution in respect of the year.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy:
1. Cancellation 4 weeks prior to a course is a full refund less a $100 penalty for processing or held on credit (no fee) for another course offering and can be used by anyone in the company/ organization for 1 year.
2. Cancellation within 4 weeks of the course – 50% penalty or held on credit (no fee) for another course offering and can be used by anyone in the company/ organization for 1 year.
3. Cancellation within 1 week of course – 100% penalty or held on credit (no fee) for another course offering and can be used by anyone in the company/ organization for 1 year.
Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

- 3-day Project Management Essentials Course (or its equivalent), or
- You already work in a project management environment that manages project scope, cost, time, quality, etc.

- You will receive a Pre-Course Study Kit with 183 practice exam questions, plus a sample study plan helping exam candidates organize and prepare their individual at-home study time.
- You will receive a course workbook containing copies of all of the course slides, many sample exam questions, case studies, templates and checklists.
- You recieve Farndale’s PMP and CAPM Preparation Guide Farndale’s PMP® and CAPM® Preparation Guide – This book describes the PMP and CAPM examinations and suggests a study process. A 250+ question practice exam is organized according to the knowledge areas of the PMBOK® Guide 6th ed.
- You will receive access to Procept’s Project Management Experience Organizer – This tool was designed to be used by project managers getting ready to apply for PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. The time-saving spreadsheet helps you organize the information required to complete the exam application.
- You will receive Post-class access to Procept’s own online PMP Exam Simulator – Their practice exam simulator has a question bank with hundreds of questions. Each time someone attempts a practice exam, the simulator randomly selects 200 questions from the question bank, respecting the distribution of topics on the real PMP exam. The simulator times the exam giving one the same time limits as the real PMP exam, allowing for a more realistic practice experience.
