Pedro Jugo
Director, Harquail School of Earth Sciences
Full Professor specialized in igneous petrology. At Laurentian University since 2006 training students and conducting experimental and field-based research aimed at understanding the fundamental geochemical processes involved in element transfer from the Earth’s mantle to the crust and the formation of mineral deposits.
B.Eng. (Univ. Central de Venezuela, 1993); MSc (Univ. of Maryland, 1997); PhD (Univ. of Alberta, 2003); Postdoctoral Fellow at Goethe Univ. (2004-2006). Worked in the Venezuelan Guiana Shield (field geologist; ground and airborne geophysics) before pursuing graduate studies.
