Ramesh Subramanian obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of New Brunswick in 1994. He joined the School of Engineering at Laurentian University in January 2002 as an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering after completing postdoctoral fellowships in Food Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison and in Chemical Engineering at McMaster University. He was instrumental in the development of Chemical Engineering curriculum at Laurentian University in 2002-2003, and re-accreditation of the program in 2011 and 2014. Since July 2010, Dr. Subramanian is the Director of the Bharti School of Engineering at Laurentian University. In addition, he is also the Undergraduate Program Coordinator of Chemical Engineering and Graduate Program Coordinator of Natural Resources Engineering. Dr. Subramanian is a Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario and an active member of Professional Engineers Ontario’s Academic Requirements Committee. He is actively involved with the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board/Engineers Canada, having served as Vice Chair and Program Visitor for Chemical Engineering during accreditation visits.
