Canadian Diamonds – Nothing but the Hard Facets

Mr. Gashinski worked for Falconbridge Nickel Mines and Esso Minerals as an exploration geologist throughout Canada and the U.S. He became an accredited gemmologist and joined the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines in the 90’s as Chief Provincial Mining Recorder. He later became Senior Diamond Advisor and Ontario’s first Chief Gemmologist and Director of Ontario’s Diamond Sector Unit with primary responsibility for its diamond royalty valuation process. Post-retirement Ron consults on diamond and gemstone projects around the world through his private company Three Point Five Two Inc. and is presently working on projects in Canada, Botswana and for other un-named governments.
