Robert Quartermain Student Lecture
Robert Quartermain DSc. is a quintessential Canadian Mining entrepreneur. Early in his career he was involved in drilling off the David Bell Gold Mine for Teck in 1982; was President of Silver Standard Resources until 2010 when he started Pretium Resources to explore and develop the Brucejack Gold Mine in northern BC. Robert will speak about the high-grade Brucejack Gold Mine located in the famous Golden Triangle in Northern British Columbia.

Against the current backdrop of global trade challenges, getting products to growing markets, and Canada’s GDP reliance on our resources, Robert presents a timely review of Canada’s contribution to the Global Resource sector, the role played by Earth Science professionals, and concludes with a review of the profitable Brucejack Gold Mine in northern British Columbia, and its contribution to the Canadian economy.
