Goodman School of Mines
as its
Executive Director
Laurentian’s comprehensive roster of mining programs, expertise and research provides the perfect environment for our ideal candidate. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Academic and Provost, the Executive Director will:
> Develop the strategy to build and promote Laurentian as Canada’s Mining University;
> Provide executive leadership for the Boards of the Goodman School of Mines and that of the Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO);
> Provide direction to the staff of the Goodman School of Mines and that of MIRARCO;
> Work to increase student enrolment and diversity in all mining-related disciplines relative to other Canadian Universities and improve their student experience;
> Enhance and expand Laurentian’s relationships with the mining industry, government and educational sectors, in Canada and abroad, and seek new business opportunities;
> Be a strategic partner in all mining-related education, research and activities at Laurentian;
> Lead the development of interdisciplinary courses and executive programs of value to the mining industry.
